Why do we never have time?

It would almost sound strange if someone told you: “I have time.” It seems that the normal thing is not to have time and sometimes it seems that we make sure that it is so because it is a general feeling and then you are not a weirdo.

For some years now I have been observing this habit of saying to each other, of sharing, of feeling that “we don’t have time.” I see people on the street greeting each other and I admit that I myself sometimes speak like this:

A: “How are you?”

B: “Well, ass! And you?” *means to be in a hurry, very busy

A: “Me too! It’s non-stop”

B: “We are all the same. Have a nice day!”

A: Thanks! And you! I’m running because I’m in a hurry.

B: And me!

Surely you have found yourself speaking like this at some point or, perhaps, like many people, you feel that it is your usual state: the state of feeling that you are short of time, the state of stress, even anxiety .

Now, do you like feeling like this? If yes, then great, but I doubt it. So if not, I suggest you change your mindset starting with this step: stop saying it.

The way we talk to ourselves influences the way we feel. So if your mind keeps telling you, over and over again, “I don’t have time,” that will be the effect it will have on you.

On the other hand, if the words ” I have plenty of time ” come to your head, you will immediately feel a sense of relief . It is like someone saying to you: “I hate you” and another day saying “I love you.” It is clear that it does not generate the same sensations.

So, if you are one of those who want to relate to time in a different way, I suggest this first step: pay attention to how you speak to yourself and how you speak to others and observe the effects it has on you and your environment.
