I love this topic. The sensations, the emotions, the feelings… Just writing this makes me feel emotional and I start to feel things.
That’s why I enjoy it so much when we talk about it in our coaching sessions. What each emotion is for, how to “make them work in our favor”, where does that feeling or thinking come from, etc.
But today I want to make you a very simple and very effective proposal: Pay attention to your sensations.
We go through the world on autopilot. It seems like our day is full of obligations that we have to fulfill until the list is zero. But that zero never comes, rather the opposite, more things are added to the list. Does this sound familiar?
It is normal that people come to my sessions feeling overwhelmed , stressed and not knowing how to stop for a moment.
Sometimes we don’t even take the time to feel happiness. There it is, poor thing, left aside, waiting for us to pay attention to it.
I write with a certain humor, but it is a serious subject that affects many. That feeling of not finding the “pause” button.
So, dear reader, in this post I invite you to simply pay attention to the pleasant sensations of your daily life. Examples:
-the aroma of coffee
-the sound of when you make coffee
-the look on your face, your friend or anyone you meet today
-the smile of your partner, friend or anyone you meet today
-someone’s smell
-that little kiss on the neck
-that song that makes you remember
-when you caress your belly and it tickles you
-that moment when that song plays …
Simply pay attention to those pleasant sensations.
And then you tell me.
What do you think?
Happy to have you here.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Anna
PS: I already feel things. What about you?
